Expression of interest process opens for a by-and-for organisation to join LGBT+ Steering Group

The Drive Partnership has opened an expression of interest process for a by-and-for organisation to join us and partners to co-design a pilot behaviour change programme for those who harm from LGBT+ communities, as part of our wider National Systems Work on improving the response to those who harm in LGBT+ communities.

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, and Treebeard Trust, the LGBT+ communities co-design pilot intervention project was able to begin work in early 2024. The Drive Partnership is keen to increase by-and-for organisation representation on the LGBT+ Steering Group and is seeking an additional organisation to join the group to diversify and centre lived experience voice within the development of the pilot project. The Drive Partnership is particularly looking to increase diversity and intersectionality representation in the LGBT+ Steering Group across different protected characteristics.

Key Steering Group requirements and roles:

  • In depth understanding of the issues facing LGBT+ communities and the ability to apply this to development work.
  • Mapping out and co-designing the service model.
  • Collaborating on priorities for the pilot, encompassing format, safety considerations, and focus.
  • Participating in discussions about the direction of the pilot.
  • Identifying key risks and offering relevant mitigations.
  • Identifying feasible locations for delivery.
  • Supporting the development of practice standards and referral pathways.
  • Supporting and signing off on procurement of a delivery partner.
  • Agreeing on outcomes and advising on data collection and analysis methods.

Further information

Full remuneration is offered to by-and-for organisations. Meetings will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams for 90 minutes every 6 weeks until end of December 2024. However, the steering group is expected to run until the end of the pilot, currently predicted as Summer 2026.

How to apply

The deadline for expressions of interest is Thursday, 25 July 2024.

Further information is available in the guidance document here. If your organisation is interested in working with us, please complete the Expression of Interest form here.

There will be a formal procurement process for the service delivery of the pilot in years two and three. Please let us know in your expression of interest if your organisation may be interested in going on to deliver the service. This won’t impact your membership; it will just ensure we remove your involvement in the procurement process (so there is no conflict of interest).
